We are looking for an experienced implementation engineer to join our growing Enterprise Development Team to assist in creating and maintaining a sustainable and expandable Network Strategy for the business. The team is responsible for producing and documenting designs and standards plus implementing the network infrastructure for the changing business needs. This role will focus on Sky’s Enterprise Network but will also offer the opportunity to work in various projects across the whole IP Network, including the Edge & Services and the Core & Metro areas.  

What you'll do 

• To work on the implementation of the Sky’s broadcast network infrastructure to ensure the security, availability and integrity of the company’s computer processing and communication capability.  

• Collaborate with Broadcast design engineers so that cohesive implementation plans can be written and implemented without causing interruption to live services. 

• To keep Project Managers and Customers updated with the progress of implementation work. 

• To deliver the transition of any new network infrastructure technologies from implementation into production by working with the Network and Broadcast Operational Teams. 

• Develop and maintain the implementation standards for Technology service levels to customers and clients. 

• Ensure all implementations are documented, compliant, delivered on time, and in budget. 

• Promote and demonstrate Sky’s core values and ensure that you operate within these principles. 

What you'll bring 

• Experience in high end Cisco Nexus and Arista EOS platforms. 

• Skilled and knowledgeable in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP). 

• Familiarity with AWS Security services (e.g., AWS WAF, Shield, GuardDuty). 

• Hands-on experience with cloud-native networking solutions, such as AWS Transit Gateway, AWS Global Accelerator, and AWS PrivateLink 

• Familiarity with AWS Direct Connect and VPN solutions for hybrid cloud connectivity. 

• Network automation. 

• Multicast, QoS, MPLS. 

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
