The Planning & Insight Manager will be responsible for centralised quarterly planning for the UK business and Trading insight and PIRs for multi-product campaigns and initiatives.

They will need to be strong collaborators with the Product Teams, Routes to Market, Customer Service group and finance to ensure the Sky leadership team makes informed and timely decisions.

What you'll do:

  • Provide in-quarter Market and competitor context for Pay TV, Broadband and Mobile industries
  • Deliver Trading Insight in the form of campaign reviews on key trading activities (Black Friday, Jan sale etc)
  • Own weekly trading actions that come out of the UK & return on investment Exec Trading session
  • Deliver quarterly plans by owning the centralised planning process across the Trading, finance and commercial teams within Sky (Timelines, Subs grids. Combined story & running meetings at HOD & Director level)
  • Planning governance – regularly reviewing partner feedback to ensure the planning process is robust and constantly evolving to adapt to changing business priorities.
What you'll bring:

  • Brilliant collaborator, able to work across a matrix organisation with the product owners, Trading teams, Customer Service group and finance to ensure the Sky leadership team makes informed and timely decisions.
  • Experienced in fast paced work environments with large & complex data, delivering quick decision making that is commercial. Sectors might include but are not limited to, telecoms, Media, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG.
  • Self-starter able to identify trends, issues and challenges – a real get up and go attitude to tackle issues head on and who responds positively to change and/or ambiguity.
  • Confident and credible, able to present work up to the Director of Performance, with excellent written, verbal, PowerPoint and spreadsheet communication skill
  • Experience planner able to manage quarterly planning process through process management, effective communication and problem solving.
  • Highly numerate and analytical combined with excellent communication skills to present findings in written, PowerPoint, spreadsheet and verbal format to senior partners.
  • Solid working understanding of key financial performance indicators and how these are to be used when making decisions and recommendations.
  • Tireless and results driven mentality, able to continually critique and optimise performance with a Positive mind-set.
  • Strong excel skills and experience of financial modelling.
