As the Procurement Manager for Media you’ll help develop the procurement strategy for the media category, alongside the Senior Procurement Manager; implement robust Supplier Relationship Management of our agencies and push them to deliver positive outcomes for Sky. You’ll work hand in hand with the media team and closely with our agencies and media owners to identify opportunities to drive efficiency and effectiveness in Sky’s media activity.
What you’ll do:
- Work with and report to the Senior Media Procurement Manage to deliver against Enterprise Procurement objectives across the Sky Group, Comcast and NBCU.
- Own one of the biggest Media category budgets in the market, working with the media team and media agency to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of that spend.
- Collaborate with and influence marketing stakeholders across Sky Group: in UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy, as well as with Procurement colleagues at Comcast and NBCU.
- Work closely with Sky digital marketing stakeholders to help drive innovation, effectiveness and efficiency in Sky’s digital activity.
- Manage Sky’s media auditors to measure the performance of our media agencies.
- Negotiate with agencies, media owners and other media suppliers to help maximise the output of Sky’s media activities.
- Deliver Supplier Relationship Management: managing our agency contracts, KPIs and feedback sessions.
- Keep abreast of the opportunities and challenges faced in the Media industry, using this knowledge to introduce innovation and challenge current business processes.
- Provide strategic commercial input to a broad range of initiatives, including Sky-wide cost-saving programmes.
- Help develop and deliver procurement initiatives and best practice, including support for the wider Group procurement vision.
- Support the broader marketing procurement team with renewals, RFPs and team projects.
- Liaise with industry bodies to understand evolving trends in the market to apply to Sky.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong communication skills and an ability to bring people together.
- Proven experience in media (media agency, media owner, client side etc) and/or in marketing procurement.
- Comfortable building relationships with an ability to manage difficult conversations and negotiations.
- Ideally experienced in understanding and negotiating contractual terms.
- A natural thirst for learning and problem solving.
