Role intro

Join the team shaping the future of Sky Sports. As a Product Designer, you’ll create fast, slick and unforgettable digital experiences across mobile, web and TV bringing live sport, breaking news and epic sporting moments to millions of fans. You’ll be part of the team behind Sky Sports award-winning digital products, pushing boundaries and setting new standards in how fans follow the sports they love. If you thrive on pace, love solving complex design challenges and want to work at the heart of the action, this is your chance to get involved.

What You'll Do:

  • Design end-to-end experiences that power one of the most exciting digital products at Sky, bringing the world of live sport, breaking news, stats, highlights and immersive content to millions of fans across mobile apps, web and TV experiences.

  • Turn complex sporting moments, data, stories and fan behaviours into simple, intuitive and emotionally engaging designs that elevate how fans follow the teams, players and competitions they love.

  • Collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, UX researchers, data specialists and editorial partners to bring ideas to life at pace, taking work from early exploration through to polished, production-ready UI.

  • Explore and design for the future of sports viewing, including personalized feeds, interactive match centres, new content formats, companion experiences, mobile-to-TV interactions and experimental AI-powered features.

  • Create clear user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity visuals that shape the next generation of Sky Sports’ digital experiences, ensuring a seamless experience across all platforms.

  • Drive forward the evolution of our shared design patterns and components, contributing to a coherent, scalable design system that supports both rapid delivery and creative innovation.

  • Play an active role in championing design quality, accessibility and user-centred thinking within the squads, helping maintain a strong, collaborative design culture.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience already working as a digital product designer (UX/UI), with day-to-day practice in UX and UI design and a track record of delivering work from early discovery through to high-quality visual execution.

  • A portfolio available for review at the point of application, demonstrating user-centred design thinking, clear problem-solving and high-quality work across mobile, web or multi-surface digital experiences.

  • Ability to produce user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and polished UI, using insights from user research and analytics to inform meaningful and considered design decisions.

  • Experience collaborating in iterative delivery environments (e.g., Agile), partnering effectively with engineers, product managers, UX researchers and other cross-functional roles.

  • Experience working with design systems, including contributing to, maintaining or evolving components and patterns to ensure scalable and consistent experiences across platforms.

  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to stakeholders and contribute positively to collaborative team culture.

  • Awareness of emerging design and technology trends, with curiosity to explore new opportunities and bring fresh thinking into Sky Sports experiences.

  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and a good understanding of accessibility principles.

These capabilities represent the minimum requirements needed to perform the role effectively and will be used as the basis for shortlisting and appointment decisions.
