What you'll do

• Evolve key aspects of Sky News digital products: an opportunity to make yourmark on the service that’s used and loved by millions.

• Propose roadmap priorities that reflect overall product strategy

• Run end-to-end product discovery (with some guidance)

• Work closely with the technical teams, including teams in Comcast India Engineering Center in Chennai, and own the requirements

• Make things happen through collaboration with Design and Technology, as well as Editorial and Commercial teams.

• Be integral part of the user feedback loop. Critically review insight and data available, and drive sound product decisions.

You will be

• User-driven: never lose sight of who we are doing this for

• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity

• Adaptable. Tech and business priorities change, and it’s not always immediately clear where things will end.

• Willing to get your hands dirty.

• Delivery focused, pragmatic, tenacious.

• Able to zoom in and out with ease. Know how to write a JIRA ticket, as well as defend our product strategy when challenged.

• An independent thinker (who knows when to ‘disagree and commit’)

• Excited by new technologies, and the potential they bring in the news space

• Somebody who plays nice. A lot of this job involves collaborating with other humans, so emotional literacy is a must.

• Ideally, experienced in working with mobile app

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon. 

Leeds:
Our spacious tech hub is less than a mile from Leeds train station. There’s plenty of parking in the surrounding streets and at the nearby CitiPark.
