As a key member of Sky’s Content PR Team, you will help to drive awareness of TV content coming to Sky in the UK and deliver best in class work, as part of an in-house team. 

Reports to: Snr PR Manager (Acquisitions PR for Sky & NOW)  

Division: Consumer Engagement, Corporate Affairs 

 

What you'll do 

  • Support Acquisitions team on delivery of UK Market TX publicity campaigns for non-Sky original TV shows acquired from major studios including HBO, Peacock, NBC Universal and others. 

  • International PR coordination for key Scripted and Factual titles produced by Sky, working closely with Sky Group colleagues.  

  • Build positive relationships with key PR counterparts at all major studios that Sky buys from, working with them to facilitate media requests around key shows. 

  • Develop positive relationships with Sky’s key acquisitions and Group PR stakeholders, as well as across CET colleagues in PR, social, influencer and corporate comms. 

  • Draft media and talent strategies, press releases, media alerts and agency briefs to the highest standard. 

  • International coordination on the release of acquired content assets as well as coordinating talent access opportunities, creative opportunities – markets including Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Ireland.  

  • Work with our Asst Publicist and preferred agencies to coordinate publicity across the acquired slate – including coordinating the multi-market release of key show-assets (images, trailers, teasers), reactive press inbounds, updating talent nominations trackers. 

  • Secure and facilitate interview nominations at international junkets, solo talent interview requests and pitch feature opportunities for priority content to media to be shared with studio counterparts.  

  • Build/nurture a network of strong media contacts across national, consumer and entertainment media. 

  • Arrange smaller scale screening events where required, and support the team on large-scale events, junkets and creative executions as needed.  

  • Manage talent budgets, travel booking, HMU and Stylist booking with the Asst Publicist. 

  • Work with the Asst Publicist to ensure regular updates to Coverage Book on key campaigns and provide press updates to the team and wider business where needed. 

 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Highly motivated individual with a passion for PR and the media, in particular TV. 

  • Experience working with and coordinating PR counterparts in other markets on international publicity campaigns. 

  • A flair for creativity – helping develop creative PR routes which promote Sky’s content. 

  • Likely you will have 3/4+ years of experience within PR or journalism; experience working in TV entertainment preferable but not essential. 

  • Good knowledge of popular culture, particularly TV. 

  • Excellent personal and written communication skills, able to deal with senior business and external partners. 

  • Experience pitching to journalists, an instinct for what makes a story and the ability to build and maintain key relationships with a network of print, broadcast and online contacts. 

  • The ability to be resilient and flexible under pressure – and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 

  • The ability to work as part of a team and be comfortable juggling priorities from various stakeholders. 

  • The ability to act with autonomy, seeking solutions to problems and referring upwards for guidance or to gain agreement on a recommendation. 

  • Excellent attention to detail – delivering fully fact-checked documents and reports to a consistently high standard. 

  • A growth mentality, being able to evaluate, learn and evolve your approach to work – to deliver best practice and industry leading comms.
