Senior Data Engineer - Anti-Piracy

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Anti-Piracy team who will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data pipeline as well as optimizing data flow and collection within the Anti-Piracy Team
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, designing and implementing data models, to support the Organisation’s business objectives. The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with other teams to ensure that all data is collected, stored, processed, and analysed in a timely manner. The successful candidate must have strong technical skills as well as excellent communication skills.
What you’ll do:
Design and develop efficient data pipelines for collecting, storing, processing, analysing and visualising large datasets from multiple sources.
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet the AP teams requirements.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
Ensures accuracy of all incoming data by validating it against established standards before loading into the system whilst keeping our data separated and secure across boundaries
Creates complex SQL queries for reporting purposes.
Monitors performance of existing databases/data warehouses/data lakes to identify areas of improvement or optimisation opportunities.
Develop and maintain data pipelines, working with the data science team to implement data analytics pipelines, defining data governance policies, and Supporting data-versioning processes.
Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
What you’ll bring:
Experience in data modelling, schema design, ML, ETL and Data Warehousing
A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
Strong organizational skills.
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Experience using some or, if not all of the following software/tools GCP as a preference (or AWS), Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
