What you’ll do:

  • Senior technical resource responsible for the design and specification of Sky’s enterprise network within the Broadcast environmentThis is to ensure the security, availability and integrity of the company’s computer processing and communication capability.  

  • Ensuring the company’s enterprise data network infrastructure is fit for purpose through appropriate design and selection of technology in line with the company’s Technology strategy. 

  • Be part of the research and development activities with new technologies to identify and report how these could be used to support the business objectives and exploit new business opportunities. 

  • Own, develop and maintain the design standards for Technology service levels to customers and clients. 

  • Review, as well as produce low level network designsEnsure these are documented, compliant, delivered on time, and in budget. 

  • To act as a Centre of Expertise for enterprise network infrastructure in use within Sky. 

  • In tandem with the Enterprise Network Design Manager identify any resource requirements in the team to meet demand. 

  • To promote and demonstrate Sky’s core values and ensure that you operate within these principles. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Educated to University degree standard or equivalent. May be replaced by demonstrable equivalent skills in a work environment been spent in a senior network technical / design role within a customer-facing IT organisation using similar technologies to those used by Sky. 

  • AWS Associate Level Certification 

  • Cisco CCDP\DE 

  • Advanced knowledge in high-end Cisco Nexus and Arista EOS platforms. 

  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native networking solutions, such as AWS Transit Gateway, AWS Global Accelerator, and AWS PrivateLink. 

  • Proficiency in SDN/Network design in public/private cloud environments. 

  • In-depth understanding of Multicast, QoS, MPLS. 

  • Advanced programming/scripting ability (Python, Bash) for automation tasks.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
