Group Communications & Infrastructure
Looking to be part of non-stop innovation? Join our Group Communications and Infrastructure team and you’ll work alongside experts in broadband, telephony, mobile, cloud and infrastructure. We’re the team that designs, builds, supports and maintains the telecoms networks across the whole Sky Group. Together, we help Sky broadband, mobile and TV enter new markets by creating a single and secure infrastructure for the amazing content and services that keep our customers coming back for more.
What you’ll do
Review, understand and contribute to business requirements, high-level designs and low-level designs
Prepare test plans and perform functional and non-functional network testing
Record bugs and defects and work with vendors for resolution
Own platforms for entire lifecycle of software and hardware. Own software, hardware and feature release roadmap by working with vendors
Own and lead projects including those executed by other Network Testing engineers (both onshore and offshore)
Possess detailed knowledge of hardware and software, service provider features and technologies
Working with automation team to create, test and review automation scripts
Make suggestions and deliver improvements to testing processes
What you’ll bring
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls (hardware and software). Experience with F5 load-balancers would be an added advantage
Service Provider networking knowledge in Routing/Switching technologies such as ISIS, MPLS (LDP and SR), BGP, Layer2/3 VPNs, QoS
Proven experience in network testing and knowledge of testing tools such as Ixia (IxNetwork, IxLoad), Spirent
Python and GIT knowledge would be an added advantage.
CCNP or equivalent certification would be an added advantage.
