Sky News is looking for an ambitious, experienced producer with a proven track-record of delivering news-making investigations. Working closely with Sky News talent, you’ll be responsible for driving high-impact video investigations, with a focus on politics, institutions and accountability. This is an exciting new role for a journalist with outstanding editorial judgement, adept at leading teams and delivering premium content from end to end.
What you’ll do:
Identify, develop, and deliver agenda-setting investigations across video formats and platforms, ensuring the content delivered is premium, high-quality, and publication-ready.
Work closely with high-profile Sky News talent, production teams, and stakeholders across the newsroom to tell the stories that matter.
Lead project teams, including mentoring and developing journalists.
Take ownership of projects, managing resources flexibly, and driving complex stories from end to end.
Exercise exceptional editorial judgement, to ensure investigations are editorially robust and impactful.
What you'll bring:
Extensive experience as a journalist, with a demonstrable record of delivering nationally-significant investigations.
Expertise in video journalism, and an excellent understanding of digital-first and emerging formats.
Outstanding communication and decision-making skills.
Demonstrable record of working with, and getting the best from, high-profile talent.
Strong understanding of media law and compliance issues relevant to investigative journalism.
Proven ability to lead teams, fostering collaboration and supporting the delivery of high-quality, premium investigations across platforms.
