As part of Sky’s Group Risk Office, our Strategic Intelligence function is key in making sense of the evolving environment and distilling how it could impact our business operations, people and reputation.

As our Strategic Intelligence Lead Analyst, you’ll be responsible for establishing and monitoring emerging and evolving threats that could impact Sky’s risk profile and resiliency in the mid- to long-term, spotting changes and challenges on the horizon (spanning environmental, technological, sociological, geopolitical, economic and legal dimensions) and making credible connections to how they could affect business delivery and success across our global footprint.

You’ll be accountable for creating compelling intelligence products that clearly communicate the ‘so what?’ for Sky, helping business stakeholders make sense of the environment and enable better strategic planning and decision-making.

This is an exciting role for someone who really wants to make a difference, enabling the business to make proactive decisions based on the world of tomorrow, not today.

What you’ll do:

· Enhance our horizon scanning capability, establishing and monitoring emerging and evolving threats that could negatively impact or present opportunities to Sky in the longer term (1-5 years), including (but not limited to): environmental changes, political and economic instability, supply chain disruption, societal risks, technology advancements, and human health issues

· Develop and refine an intelligence collection plan, identifying triggers, indicators, warnings and scenarios to assess changing threat status. Receive and analyse information streams including OSINT, intelligence provider materials and industry networks sources, utilising full scope of resources available

· Work closely with our Risk team to map external changes to how they could impact the likelihood, impact and velocity of risk materialisation

· Make credible connections between emerging threats and why they matter to Sky, enabling informed decision making by business owners

· Prepare high-quality, timely and actionable intelligence products, providing advice on strategic outcomes

· Closely collaborate with other intelligence providers across the business to build an intelligence community, driving forward information sharing and best practice to give the best stakeholder experience

What you’ll bring:

· A proven background in strategic intelligence, with relevant professional experience within a corporate setting

· Demonstrable experience of long-term forecasting and scenario planning that enables a business to better understand and prepare for future external events and changes

· Advanced research, intelligence gathering and analytical skills, and ability to connect the dots between a wide range of external events and how they could impact the business

· Experience beyond geopolitical and conflict assessments

· Strong attention to detail, and excellent communications both written and verbal

· Ability to set out complex topics and logical arguments clearly and accessibly, adapting language, form, and message to meet the needs of different audiences, simply articulating the ‘so what’ for Sky to enable decision making and action

· A network of industry connections, partaking in global, regional and local intelligence sharing groups and links to industry experts

· A drive to innovate and improve, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and efficacy
