Want to do the best work of your life? Make your mark at Europe’s leading entertainment brand. Our people make Sky a truly exciting and inclusive place to work – a place where you can be yourself and let your skills shine.

This role sits within the Trading and Planning function for Sky Business. As a team, we are evolving trading and planning to grow with the business and the business needs. Sky Business is an area of growth for Sky, and we have been in scale up mode across the business unit. The pace is fast, and we need to ensure that we are keeping a close eye on the business performance, so that the business has the right information to make decisions quickly.

We are a small team in a scale up environment, where no two days are the same. It’s an exciting place to be, with lots of opportunity to learn and grow, and plenty of exposure to the Senior Leadership Team.

What you’ll do:

Planning:

  • You’ll help to create more sophisticated, data drive plans for larger businesses (Mid Market) and Wholesale partners, who have complex connectivity needs

  • Work closely with Sales, Ops and Finance to build detailed forecasts

  • Challenge and collaborate with our business partners to build stretching but achievable plans

  • Support in building the Long Range Plan and the budget process

Trading:

  • Own creation of the weekly Trading pack for Mid Market and Wholesale, which is shared at COO level. Lead on deciding the ‘focus’ areas for Trading in the week

  • Detailed performance analysis, (including vertical, size of business, regional performance metrics / by partner, product mix, rate/volume analysis)

  • Be an expert on your segments – understand the key levers of performance, as well as customer needs and solutions, and be able to add valuable recommendations based on data

  • Drive the Trading performance conversations and highlight risks and opportunities

Investment cases and Business opps

  •  Work with finance on adhoc investment cases and even M&A opportunities

  • Ability to identify new opportunities for growth and support with strong investment cases

What you’ll bring:

  • Great with numbers and have a strong commercial acumen

  • The ability to work under pressure, quickly, accurately and to tight deadlines

  • Experience of the Telco industry

  • A great, can do attitude – a self starter who uses initiative

  • Experience of B2B would be great, but not a necessity

The rewards

There's one thing people can't stop talking about when it comes to #LifeAtSky: the perks. Here’s a taster:

  • Sky Q, for the TV you love all in one place

  • The magic of Sky Glass at an exclusive rate

  • A generous pension package

  • Private healthcare

  • Discounted mobile and broadband

  • A wide range of Sky VIP rewards and experiences

How you'll work:

We know the world has changed, and we want to offer our employees the chance to collaborate at our unique office spaces, whilst enjoying the convenience of working from home.

We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. You'll find out more about what this means for this role during the recruitment process.

Your office base:

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon.

Please flag any adjustments you need to your recruiter as early as you can.
