What you’ll do:

  • Reporting into the Fraud Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Sky’s Technical Fraud strategy by developing, delivering, and maintaining high-quality reports and dashboards. Your work will provide critical insights and data-driven recommendations that ensure Sky remains at the forefront of fraud prevention.

  • Your primary responsibility will be the creation of customised reports and dashboards by leveraging SQL database queries, ad-hoc data extracts, and Looker Studio. You will transform raw data into meaningful insights that are easily understood by key stakeholders, helping to drive informed decision-making.

  • Actively contribute to fraud prevention by analysing data patterns and trends, creating dashboards that allow real-time monitoring, and identifying areas for improvement. Your insights will help optimise fraud detection and control systems across multiple platforms.

  • Play a vital role in automating report generation, implementing scalable solutions that reduce manual efforts while ensuring timely delivery of insights.

  • Apply your experience in fraud analysis, with a preference for those from telecoms, banking, or retail industries, to ensure that your reporting aligns with industry best practices and emerging fraud trends.

  • Conduct thorough data validation to ensure all reports and dashboards are accurate, reliable, and meet the evolving needs of the fraud team, while ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS.

  • Assist in system upgrades by validating that fraud system enhancements are accurately reflected in reports and dashboards. Ensure new functionality is incorporated into the reporting framework before release. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Highly numerate with experience in a fraud data analysis role.

  • Strong, proven SQL experience (5+ years) is essential.

  • Practical knowledge of Google BigQuery, Looker Studio and Tableau.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively visualise data, transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights through intuitive charts, graphs, and other visual tools.

  • Solid critical thinking and methodical approach when dealing with challenging datasets.

  • Resilience when faced with competing priorities.

  • Commercial acumen to assess and make recommendations relating to the best course of action to take when faced with competing choices.
