As a Media Planning Executive (Airtime), you will be responsible for the promo optimiser and linear airtime processes. In addition to the core responsibility of looking after our available inventory, you will also help support others across the airtime team as well as working closely with our planning team.

What you'll do:

  • Responsibilities may vary and may depend on the successful candidate. The role will report into the Media Planning Lead in the Airtime Management team with a primary focus on optimising Sky’s promo inventory by reporting daily on our linear campaigns, as well as forecasting.

  • Actively ensure KPIs are being met and be accountable for our linear targets each week, ensuring we are delivering efficient & effective campaigns.

  • Support the rest of the team with forecasting linear inventory, using historical data and audience analysis to produce accurate quarterly, monthly and weekly forecasts.

  • Establish relationships with several different stakeholders across the business – confidently solving issues and looking for ways to further develop our tools and systems.

What you'll bring:

  • Industry expert: Demonstrated knowledge of how linear broadcast and on-demand TV works. A familiarity with media planning practices as well as the tools and software used (e.g. Techedge, Advantedge/BARB, promo optimisers) is a bonus.

  • Highly numerate: Comfortable using, organising and presenting data.

  • Outstanding communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A proven ability to craft compelling narratives and convey complex ideas to senior stakeholders and leaders with clarity and conviction.

  • Confident presenter: Must be comfortable frequently presenting and talking to your team

  • Excellent collaborator: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate with colleagues with a range of expertise (e.g. developers, analysts, marketing etc).

  • Technical aptitude: You will need to gain a deep understanding of a number of new systems and operational workflows and be comfortable contributing to technical conversations as you manage and improve upon them for your team’s benefit.

  • A passion for TV: Our team sits at the heart of Sky’s amazing content, as such a wider knowledge & passion for the broader TV landscape is a requirement.

Promo Planning sits within the NOW & Sky Content team charged with looking after one of our most powerful and effective tools to communicate with our customers. Our primary objective is to excite and educate our valued customers about Sky’s top-tier content, channels, and services.
