Senior Manager - Corporate Communications and Sponsorship

The Corporate Communications and Sponsorship Manager will be part of the team protecting and building Sky’s reputation. The role will be focused in particular on delivering external communications plans that align with Sky’s business strategy and corporate narrative.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to further Sky Irelands' corporate narrative including utilising the sponsorship of the Women’s and Men’s National Teams.
  • Lead on Sky Ireland’s Public Affairs and External Communications Strategy, including crafting key messages, with a particular focus on the sponsorship.
  • Develop and execute strategic and innovative activation plans for Sky to promote our sponsorships, ensuring maximum brand exposure and engagement, as well as events to support Sky’s position in the telecoms/audiovisual sector; and Sky’s contribution via our ‘Bigger Picture’ initiatives including Sky Cares and Sky Up
  • Regular media engagements, including developing and maintaining great relationships with business media, sports media and news editors
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive brand messaging and communication strategies that align with Sky's brand values and objectives
  • Supporting senior leaders in Sky with engagements including events, meetings and media appearances

Experience/skills:

  • Candidate with significant experience in a similar role, either in-house or agency that has an  excellent track record in corporate communications.
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining relationships within the media landscape in Ireland
  • Knowledge and experience in utilising sponsorship or similar to enhance corporate reputation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the chosen candidate will be working closely with senior leaders in Sky and will be expected to build relationships across Sky Group and with key external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, the chosen candidate will need experience of drafting key messaging, scripts and reports
  • Ability to think pro-actively and strategically and can develop long-term plans that align with corporate objectives
  • An appetite to embrace a large, demanding and fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities

Our striking Ireland HQ has an A-list location on Burlington Road, walking distance from central Dublin. Grand Canal Dock and Pearse train stations are both around 1.5km away, and we’re a short stroll from the buses of Baggot Street, Leeson Street and Waterloo Road. There’s plenty of parking for cyclists too.
