Better content. Better products. And better careers.

We optimise and innovate.

We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love.

And we do it all right here at Sky.

The Senior UX Designer is responsible for creating and executing user-centred designs that meet business objectives. This includes developing wire frames, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. The Senior Designer will collaborate with product owners, managers, developers and other business stakeholders throughout the design process and implementation to ensure a successful outcome.

What you'll do

  • Identify competitor strengths and weaknesses by conducting thorough research and analysis into products and user experiences.

  • Gain valuable insight into our customer’s needs and behaviours by designing and executing comprehensive user research.

  • Gather, organise, and present user feedback from usability tests to make data-driven design improvements based on this feedback.

  • Ensure information is organised and easily accessible by creating and developing sophisticated information hierarchies, sitemaps, and content structures.

  • Visualise and test the layout and functionality of digital interfaces by creating and developing cogent wireframes and interactive protypes.

  • Conduct user research and incorporate UX research tools, data, personas, market research and competitor analysis to help shape the user experience.

  • Produce seamless, digital user journeys by designing and developing cogent user flows and navigation paths.

  • Align UX goals with overarching project objectives by liaising and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, product managers, copywriters, and other key stakeholders.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in UX design, architecture, or a related role, demonstrated through a strong portfolio of successful projects, including both internal and customer-facing systems.

  • Advanced proficiency in Figma (must-have) for UX and UI design.

  • Experience in User-Centred Design Process. Skilled in planning, leading, and conducting usability testing, design reviews, and customer journey mapping. Expertise in structuring information hierarchies, sitemaps, and navigation frameworks.

  • Experience leveraging UX research tools, user data, personas, market research, and competitor analysis to enhance user experiences, particularly for external-facing customers.

  • Strong understanding of both internal and external development technologies, with awareness of their limitations, constraints, and implications for UX design.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, confident in leading workshops, facilitating design discussions, and working effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
