Sky Data brings a wealth of Data and Analytics capabilities into one place, building expertise and capability that supports our Sky and OTT businesses across Europe to keep data safe, trusted and usable. We partner with teams across the business to create innovative data products that improve Sky and bring value to our customers. We’re on a journey to transform Data Management at Sky by establishing a best-in-class Data Management team. Our journey starts with designing and implementing foundational Data Management capabilities (Data Quality, Data Cataloguing and Data Lineage) before addressing the broader Data Lifecycle.

What you'll do
Lead the development and implementation of Sky’s Data Management Strategy and Operating Model whilst ensuring alignment to our broader Sky Data Strategy
Partner with Data and Analytics colleagues to deliver Data Management initiatives
Lead the design of frameworks and operating models for Data Management Capabilities whilst ensuring alignment with wider Comcast and Sky Group
Bring subject matter expertise, including technical knowledge, to support with design and delivery of Data Management tools (e.g. Atlan, Anomolo, Collibra, Informatica, etc)
Collaborate with both Business and Technical teams (e.g. Architecture, Engineering and Technology) to influence embedding of Data Management best practice
Advocate for Data Management best practice and actively support the education of colleagues at all levels, fostering the adoption of Data Management best practice
Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies in Data Management, providing valuable insights and actively contributing to Data Management innovation
This role requires regular travel to Germany during the initial implementation phase
What you'll bring
Fluency in German and English written and spoken communication (business & social)
Proven experience in leading and supporting implementation of Data Management initiatives in medium to large organisations.
Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to drive improvements across Data Management capabilities.
Excellent communication skills to convey technical complexity and insights to various stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address root causes of data issues.
Hands on expertise across Data Management capabilities (with experience across multiple foundational Data Management capabilities)
Proficiency in Data Management technologies and tooling e.g. Collibra, GCP Data Catalog & Data Fusion, Atlan, Anomolo, etc.
Comprehensive understanding of Cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Meticulous attention to detail in supporting the implementation of Data Management policies and frameworks.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
