Senior Strategy Manager (Advertising)

As a Senior Strategy Manager within Sky Media, you’ll be responsible for developing Sky Media’s long-term strategy and working with Sky’s wider Advertising, Partnerships and Distribution (APD) business unit to bring an advertising lens to our wider strategy, deals and partnerships.

You will also support other areas of the business where advertising can help unlock value for Sky and our partners.

What you’ll do: 

• Help Sky Media make long term decisions, providing an objective point of view to ensure we identify, prioritise and focus on the right strategic opportunities
• Work with other teams across Sky to bring an advertising perspective to broader projects, including M&A, content and carriage deals
• Conduct analysis of market and competitor performance to identify and evaluate mid-to-long term growth opportunities
• Build compelling business cases, bringing together market data, financial modelling and commercial evaluation
• Own models and deliverables, and take responsibility for communicating your analysis, findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in Sky Media and the wider Sky business
• Run your own projects, managing your workload and stakeholders as needed while keeping to the required delivery timelines

What you’ll bring: 

• Experience in a Strategy role (consultancy or in-house) and/or experience in a quantitative or commercial department within an advertising sales business
• An analytical mindset, with the ability to apply logic and creative thinking to different business opportunities and challenges
• Knowledge of key financial terms and the ability to understand and build financial models
• A clear and concise communication style, with the ability to draw out key takeaways and tailor messages to different audiences and levels of seniority
• The ability to develop relationships across the wider business, manage stakeholders at different levels and build a personal network
• A collaborative and proactive attitude, with the ability to work across multiple projects within a team and independently
